🌿 Self-Reflection: A Life Under Construction ✨
Based on devotional from “Whole Hearted-Day 15 by Jordan Lee”
📖 Philippians 1:6 tells me, "…that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion." This verse resonates deeply with my journey—my struggles, my triumphs, and the path I continue to walk. Just like a construction site, my life is constantly being shaped, moulded, and refined by the Master Builder.
Yet, amid this construction, the noise of the world is deafening. Doubts creep in, whispering questions about whether I have truly heard from God regarding the vision He has given me for UniqueLeigh. The voices of fear and uncertainty rise, making me wonder if I am simply following my own ambitions rather than His divine plan. But as I reflect, I recognize that confusion is not from God, and I choose to silence the noise by standing firm in His promises.
Looking back, I see the groundwork that God has been laying in my life. The upheavals, the moments of brokenness, the deep trenches of hardship—all of these were necessary for building a strong foundation. I have faced financial struggles, heartbreak, and the daunting task of starting anew, but I see now that these were not setbacks; they were preparation. God was—and still is—creating space for growth, ensuring that the cornerstone of my faith is firmly in place.
I often fall into the trap of thinking that once I achieve a certain milestone—whether in business, personal growth, or financial stability—I will have "arrived." But as I reflect, I realize that completion is not a single moment but an ongoing process.
Even when my business, UniqueLeigh Beauty & Consulting, reaches its goals, there will still be more to build. More relationships to nurture, more knowledge to gain, and more faith to grow. God is not done with me yet, and I am learning to trust the process.
🔥 Being an Example of His Message
Based on devotional from “My Utmost for His Highest – 10th March by Oswald Chambers”
I know that my calling is not just to build a business but to be a messenger of God's grace.
📖 2 Timothy 4:2 says, "Preach the word!" This means that my actions, my resilience, and my integrity should reflect His message. As a leader, I am not just striving for financial success but for a deeper impact—one that glorifies God and helps others rise with me. The testimony of my life must be lived out daily, not just spoken in words. Even when I question whether I am on the right path, I must remain steadfast in the truth that He has spoken over me.
🔥 Walking With Jesus, Not Just Working for Him
Based on devotional from “My Utmost for His Highest – 9th March by Oswald Chambers”
📖 John 6:67 asks, "Do you also want to go away?" This question challenges me. It makes me pause and ask myself: Am I truly walking with Jesus, or am I merely working for success under His name? The world tells me to measure my worth by accomplishments, but God calls me to measure my worth by my obedience.
It is easy to get caught up in the tasks, in the striving, in the doing, but my first priority must always be intimacy with Him. I see this challenge in my daily life in several ways:
ü When I prioritize prayer and worship before making business decisions, trusting that His wisdom is greater than my strategy.
ü When I choose faith over fear, especially when financial pressures and uncertainty arise, knowing that God is my provider.
ü When I resist the temptation to compromise my values for worldly success, even when easier opportunities present themselves.
ü When I take intentional breaks to spend time in His presence, rather than constantly pushing forward in my own strength.
ü When I listen for His voice above the voices of doubt and external opinions, staying true to what He has called me to do, even when others do not understand.
I don't want to be like those who turned back, choosing comfort or control over a surrendered walk with Christ. Instead, I want to be completely dependent on Him, trusting that He will lead me where I need to go, even when I cannot see the full picture.
🔥 True Justice and Surrendered Living
Based on devotional from “Daily Wisdom for Women – 2021 collection – 7th March
📖 Deuteronomy 16:19-20 reminds me of the importance of justice and fairness. As I lead and grow in business, I must ensure that I treat everyone with the integrity and love that God expects of me. I must let go of bitterness, forgive those who have wronged me, and trust that God will bring justice in His time.
Surrendering my life, as 📖 Galatians 2:20, means letting go of my own plans, desires, and even my own image of success. It means allowing God to strip away my pride, my fears, and my need for control, replacing them with His righteousness. It means trusting that even when the world sows doubt, God's word does not return void. It’s not an easy process. It requires humility and faith, but I trust that in surrender, I will find true strength.
🔥 Holy Living and Standing Apart
Based on devotional from “Daily Wisdom for Women – 2021 collection – 8th March”
📖 Deuteronomy 18:9 warns against conforming to the ways of the world. The world tells me to seek validation, but God tells me to seek Him. This is a reminder for me to stand firm in my faith, no matter the influences and noises around me. In business and in life, I will be faced with opportunities that might seem beneficial but require compromise. But I must choose the path that aligns with my faith, even when it is the harder, lonelier road. I am called to be set apart—to shine, Matthew 5:14 - “…as a city on the hill”, in my field, my community, and my family. The world may not understand my calling, but I choose to trust the One who gave it to me.
🔥 Final Thoughts
I am a work in progress, but I am also a masterpiece in the making. God has begun a good work in me, and He will see it through. No matter what phase of construction I am in—whether it’s the digging, the building, or the refining—I trust that He is shaping me for a greater purpose.
Lord, may I remain faithful in the process. May I reflect Your justice, Your love, and Your truth in all that I do. May I always walk with You, fully surrendered, trusting that the work You have begun in me will be brought to completion. No matter how loud the world gets, may I always hear Your voice above all else.
Amen.
🔥 Declaration
Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a heart surrendered, fully aware that I am Your workmanship, a masterpiece in progress. Lord, I trust that the work You have begun in me will be completed in Your perfect time. I declare that I am not defined by my past, my failures, or my struggles—I am defined by Your grace and purpose for my life. You are refining me, strengthening me, and equipping me for greater things.
Father, when the noise of the world tries to drown out Your voice, I will stand firm in what You have spoken over me. I reject every doubt, every fear, and every distraction that seeks to pull me away from Your vision for my life. I will not question what You have placed in my heart. I trust that UniqueLeigh is not just my idea—it is Your divine assignment. I will not be shaken by challenges, nor will I be deterred by obstacles. I will walk in faith, in purpose, and in obedience to Your calling.
I place my trust fully in You, knowing that Your plans for me are good, and that Your timing is perfect. Mould me, shape me, and use me as a vessel for Your glory. In all things, may my life be a testimony of Your faithfulness.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
